Fantasy Baseball Insiders Tonight 4/14: Ryan Theriot, Randy Wells Lead Cubs in Wild Game at Wrigley Field

Game No. 11 in our journey to score 162 games this baseball season featured the Brewers and Cubs in an exciting finish at Wrigley Field. Game No. 11 – Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs Randy Wells was the story of the first half of this game, striking out six batters through four, all against the Brewers’ one through three batters (Rickie Weeks, Corey Hart, Ryan Braun). With two outs in the fifth, Rickie Weeks worked a nine-pitch at-bat, forcing Wells to labor for the first time all day. After fouling off three pitches and running the count full, Weeks delivered the Brewers’ first runs of the day, whacking a two-run double into the left-field corner that tied the game...

Fantasy Baseball Insiders Tonight 4/9: Rays’ David Price Beats Yankees In Season Debut

New day, new insider. Fantasy Baseball Insiders’ sixth game of the season was the season opener at Comerica Park featuring the Tigers and the visiting Indians. Game No. 6 – Cleveland Indians at Detroit Tigers Friday’s game featured few hits, few strikeouts and one enormous error by third baseman Jhonny Peralta. Grady Sizemore finished with two hits and a stolen base. One of the hits was a rope off the wall for a triple. Grady is now batting .316 on the season and just may be on his way back to prominence...

Fantasy Baseball Insiders Tonight 4/6: Orioles’ Adam Jones, Matt Wieters Homer in Season Debut

As part of our journey to watch and score 162 games this season, Tuesday night featured the Orioles/Rays opener in Tampa. Game No. 3 - Baltimore Orioles vs. Tampa Bay Rays Adam Jones went 3-for-5 with a single, double, and HR. Matt Wieters went 2-for-4 with a HR to lead off the sixth. In his first at-bat of the game, the soon-to-be 24-year-old crushed a ball that forced B.J. Upton to the wall in straight away center. I’ve been saying this since last April, Wieters will be a top-25 fantasy player by the end of this season...

2010 Projections: Why B.J. Upton Will Bounce Back

BJ Upton was perhaps the biggest dissapointment of the 2009 fantasy baseball season. There is reason to believe, however, that the 25-year-old will bounce back in 2010. Nobody doubts his talent. Upton has season highs of 24 HRs, 44 steals, and a .300 average; he's just never put it all together in one season. If he does, look out - that power/speed/average combo is top-20 material...

Tampa Bay Rays’ BJ Upton Headlines the 2009 All-Bust Team

Wednesday’s post covered this year’s All-Surprise Team. Today, we’re going to visit the opposite side of the ranks as I present the 2009 All-Bust Team. While compiling this list, I did my best to exclude players who spent a significant amount of time on the disabled list, as I feel it’s unfair to hang the “bust” label on players due to injury....

Ticket Liquidator

Interest is peaking among those who seek cheap tickets to MLB games, especially the stadiums that fill up fast and sell out quick like Fenway Park seats, cheap Yankees baseball games and the big one in July; the 2011 MLB All-Star Game in Phoenix. Before that, though, don't forget to check out these seats at the College World Series 2011. As we head into spring, there are other sports hitting their high notes, including cheap games at the NBA finals, action in the octagon at a MMA Fight Night and other fight tickets including the 2011 boxing schedule.
